Welcome to York Volleyball Club
All standards are catered for, with coaching for beginners and less experienced players. We have junior sessions at Huntington School. During the indoor volleyball season (Sept. - April), there are team-specific training sessions on a Tuesday evening. In the summer we mix everyone together. We also play in several summer tournaments and organise the York Tournament in July.
Club sessions take place all year round.
Tuesdays 8.15-10.15 pm Team Training at Oaklands Sports Centre
Fridays 7.00 - 9.00 pm Recreational/Beginners Session at Huntington School
We welcome everyone, whether you want to play in a team or not.
We have two Men's teams - playing in the National Volleyball League, Division 3 North, and in the Yorkshire Premier League - a Ladies team in the Yorkshire Premier League and a mixed team in Yorkshire Division One. National League matches are played on Sundays and local league matches are played on Monday evenings at York College, or occasionally on Tuesday evenings on the second court at Oaklands Sports Centre.
What Will it Cost Me?
Your first 2 sessions are free!
Club Joining Fee £30 (£70 if you are going to play in the National League)
Remaining costs are spread over 12 months of the year, payable by standing order.
- Team players £20 per month
- Non-team players £15 per month
Concessions available for juniors, students and unwaged.
Guest Fees
If you want to pay on a session by session basis, it will cost £5 per 2 hour session (£3.50 for concessions/students). In order to play in league matches, you must become a club member and make regular monthly payments.
